Target audience
The target audience for our Main task would be 15- 21 because it will include violence so it will not be suited for younger audiences. Also older people will not be interested as all the people in the film our in the age group of 15- 21 this means anyone his older will not connect to the as well. Also lots of people within this age range like physiological thrillers, were as some people who are younger will not want to watch and some older may not want to watch it either. Our target audience is niche because our film is a small film and were not known so probably not many would watch our film this would therefore make it niche. Also this is backed up by our research when we asked people which we thought would like the film most were interested showing that this is the right audience for our film.
In our task there will be and issue with gender as all the characters our male this will make it hard for females to connect with the film as their our no females in the film. So we will aim at males only as the lack of female characters makes it hard for them to connect with it. Also this film will have a lot of action in which is stereotypical of males to like high action films, however female stereotype is the opposite this is another reason why we will only aim at males. When we asked mainly males most of them responded back to us that they like physiological thrillers and would watch our film, this is shown bellow.

Other interests in the film would be the use of mask this will hide the criminals face until the end this will keep the audience baffled to who the man is. We want our film to full of suspense, the audience who will watch this kind of film would be teenagers, but this may even go as far as to appeal to the Gothic culture who want there to be horror and a physiological elements which will be in a task so it will appeal to the Gothic culture.
On the socio-economic-scale we would aim our film at C1 to D as pensioners would not want to watch our film as it is not aimed for them and the workers who rely on welfare state will not want to see it either. Also the higher class would not see the point in watching our film, however from C-D they have the money and they may spend some time watching our film. They wouldn't be to high end of the scale because if they were they may just dismiss the film and only stick with the more critically acclaimed films. They nay just give it ago as they may be a bit more open minded about low budget films.
