We were told that we had to create a opening sequence. We decide to make a thriller which involved and interrogation where person A interrogates Person B about a crime but has a slight comedic twist to it when you find out the person who has done is a small teddy bear. It then jumps out and kills person A right at the end of the sequence this is after a intense interrogation.
In our opening sequence I think the start when really well for us. We built up the tension a lot this was helped by the use of lots of different shots we used because you used lots of different it shows all the chractors from lots of different directions this gave the audience a feeling they were actually their watching the events unfold . Which set the theme for the rest of our opening sequence. The music really complemented our trailer and helped build suspense the non digetic music track really fit in with the scene and made our prelim task better . This made the trailer looked better also the sound effects we added in fitted in the trailer. So it wasn't to unrealistic. I also think our use of the teddy bear was good cause suddenly it went serious to comedic. Also are shots were good and showed the audience what was going on.
However I think that if i had to change something I would make our scenes less dark because we had to add a filter this was because the camera made it look a lot lighter than it actually was this slightly ruined what the location looked like because it was harder to make out what it was. So to allow the audience to see it we needed to add a filter or the audience would not be able to see a thing. This would affect our you-tube video as it looked even darker in you-tube this means that even with the filter it would be very dark however it would be better to have it just visible to not visible at all. Also the other filters looked wrong on are prelim task. We had to try lots of different filters that fitted with the scene but the filter makes it look worse. Which made are scenes not look as good when you watched them on YouTube this would ruin the effect of our prelim this would also not allow suspense to build also it wont look like a psychological thriller .
In conclusion I think overall it went well and I am happy with the end result. I think their could of been a few changes to it to make it better such as the filter as well as some of the acting as some of the acting could of been better as some of the acting was poor. We did make a few mistakes in making it but none were major. However i am happy with our editing because i think it made our prelim better than it was originally as we had a few shots that didn't look quite right. Also i am happy because we met all the requirements such as the 180 degree rule we made sure that me did not break the rule.
